SAILORR is unlike any artist in the game right now. Her soothing vocals on songs like "CUT UP" and unique style have captivated fans worldwide including some of the biggest names in the music industry.
iHeartRadio's newest On The Verge Artist is quickly rising through the ranks as one of the hottest artists to watch in 2025. After earning co-signs from Doechii, Kodak Black and Justin Bieber, the Florida native's loyal fanbase continues to eat up every track she drops including her latest banger "Pookie's Requiem" featuring Summer Walker. The remix to her breakthrough single, which appears on her new EP DOWN BAD, was inspired by a low point in her life.
"Everybody goes through these stages after a breakup, and I, for one, went through a phase of watching really, really sad films," SAILORR explains to iHeartRadio. "I watched Requiem For A Dream by Darren Aronofsky, and that's how I made this song."
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., SAILORR is the product of two hard-working Vietnamese immigrants and a loving sister, who instilled her early musical influences from iconic songstresses like Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu to Hip-Hop phenoms André 3000 and Chief Keef. Following her musical theater venture in college, SAILORR decided to ditch her Broadway dreams and began to experiment with music production. She established herself as an artist and producer by performing at open mic events and talent shows under her stage name SAILORR. The moniker is inspired by her affinity for the iconic manga character Sailor Moon and her Finsta name Sailor Goon.
"I want everybody that listens to my music to feel the most beautiful, that they can feel as a hot girl and any state that they come in," she says. "Come as you are and love yourself and continue listening to the music because that's what this is for."
SAILORR met her management team while pushing her music on SoundCloud. She eventually made the move to Los Angeles where she began to seriously pursue her music career. The 26-year-old artist started dropping snippets of her music on TikTok. One of those songs, “W1LL U L13,” caught the attention of record executive Bu Thiam. SAILORR was signed to 10K Projects/Atlantic Records a few months later and released her hit "Pookie's Requiem" late last year. Now she's preparing to drop her debut full-length project From Florida's Finest this spring.
"Life, sunshine, food, other music, beautiful people. That's my inspiration," she says. "I love life, and I hope you can feel it in my music and we all get to connect together one day when we're all listening to it together."
SAILORR performed her breakthrough song over the weekend during her debut at Coachella in California. Check out some scenes from her performance and listen to "Pookie's Requiem" featuring Summer Walker below.
