R. KELLY: Attacked in Prison
R. Kelly was thrown into solitary yesterday after a fellow inmate attacked him at a Chicago federal lockup.
According to Page Six, the man was frustrated over recent lockdowns caused by pro-R. Kelly protests outside the jail. Kelz lawyer, Steven Greenberg, says, “My understanding is, every time there is a pro-R. Kelly protest outside of the jail, they lock down the entire facility.”
R. Kelly was in his cell when another inmate walked in and attacked him.
Kelly only received minor injuries, and he was placed in solitary confinement because it’s the only place jail staff “can protect him."
BOBBY SHMURDA: Parole Hearing Pushed Back
Bad news for Bobby Shmurda… His scheduled parole hearing has been pushed back.
Shmurda was supposed to see the New York State Board of Parole 10 days ago. Well now he's now on the books for the week of September 14th. The Board of Parole has two weeks after its meeting to decide whether to let him go home around a year ahead of his December 11th, 2021 release date.
Shmurda has been incarcerated since 2014 on conspiracy charges.
