Issa Rae teams up with AmEx & Black Chambers to promote Black businesses
One time for Issa Rae, who is still rooting for everybody Black. According to Variety, she recently teamed up with American Express & the U.S. Black Chambers to help support Black businesses.
The collabo will specifically promote ByBlack, the first national certification program for Black entrepreneurs. One of their goals is to make the search for Black-owned businesses easier for consumers.
For real Facts; Black-owned businesses in the U.S. generate $150 billion annually, and almost 50% of consumers seek out Black companies
So what they’re doing will benefit consumers and Black business owners.
BET HIP HOP AWARDS: Full List of Nominees
The nominations are in for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards and Cardi B, Lil Durk and Megan Thee Stallion are leading the pack.
They each have nine nods, followed by Drake, with eight. Other artist with nods are Tyler The Creator, Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, Pooh Shiesty, BIA, Chris Brown, Doja Cat, Jay-Z, Lil Nas X, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Saweetie, Young Thug and YungBleu.
This year’s show will be taped on October 1st in Atlanta and will premiere on BET Tuesday, October 5th at 9 p.m.

The MTV Video Music Awards are this Sunday night at 7, some of the performers, including Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, Chloe, Jack Harlow, Normani, Alicia Keys and Doja Cat, who is also hosting.
