Wyclef Jean will expand his discography in 2026 to celebrate his 30 years in the music industry.

In an interview TMZ published on Monday, February 3, the Fugees member revealed his plan to release seven albums this year. Beginning in March, Wyclef will share an album of various genres each month until September. The 56-year-old artist aims to release a Hip-Hop album called Black Moses. He also has an all-country album, an R&B album called Grown & Sexy, a Kompa album, and a jazz album dedicated to Quincy Jones in the works.

"This has never been done before," he explained. "I'm dropping seven albums. March, April, May, June, July, August, September, no cap."

"As a producer, I don't want to sound like Little Richard, but I started a lot of this, man," he added. "I don't wanna be like, 'I started Rock 'n' Roll,' so versus me telling you that, here we go."

It's been eight years since Wyclef dropped his last studio LP, Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee. Over the years, he's released numerous singles and collaborations, including his most recent track "Back From Abu Dhabi" with French Montana and Rick Ross.

Before announcing the album, Wyclef reflected on participating in the tribute to D'Angelo and Roberta Flack at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The Haitian-American musician joined Ms. Lauryn Hill on stage toward the end of the segment to help her perform "Killing Me Softly With His Song" (both Flack and the Fugees' versions) while the Recording Academy flashed images of the late artists we lost like Fugees collaborator John Forté.

"We had the memorial in the back, that was a shock," Wyclef said. "It was important because at the end of the day, I just love music."
